Once a Trump loyalist, Anthony Scaramucci’s recent feud with the President has escalated to the point where Scaramucci has told Axios he believes Trump may need to be replaced for 2020.
Here is the backstory.
Scaramucci’s recent turn against Trump started with his mid July criticism of Trump’s comments against “the squad” which Scaramucci called “against the idealistic values of America.
More recently, the former White House Communications Director called President Trump’s visit at an El Paso, Texas, hospital this week to visit with the survivors of a mass shooting a “catastrophe.”
This prompted Trump to fire back in a series of tweets.
Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on “President Trump.” Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me…..
…..other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence. Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!

Scaramucci responded by claiming Trump “eventually turns on everyone and soon it will be you and the entire country.”
For the last 3 years I have fully supported this President. Recently he has said things that divide the country in a way that is unacceptable. So I didn’t pass the 100% litmus test. Eventually he turns on everyone and soon it will be you and then the entire country. https://t.co/BUvwujc6LW

Now, in an Axios exclusive, Anthony Scaramucci, who famously served as President Trump’s communications director for 11 days, says Republicans may need to pick a different candidate in 2020.
Driving the news: In a phone interview on Sunday afternoon, Scaramucci compared Trump to a melting nuclear reactor and said he may support a Republican challenger to Trump.
